  1. Yes it is. I compared and researched it online. Our son actually hated the Enfamil Gentlease and loved the Parent's Choice Gentle. It's crazy but he wouldn't drink it at all. We saved a lot of money using the generic. Most of the cheaper stuff is made by the same company.

  2. Yes.  Its all FDA approved.  Compare the labels.  You'll see that its all practically the same.

  3. As in baby formula? No, but try to avoid the biggest name brands too. A big example being Sma. It's rubbish and made my son throw up. We use Cow and Gate, even though it's quite cheap. He loves it too. You don't need the most expensive for your ittle one, just not a really low name brand.

Even though there are certain standards to meet, the really cheap ones aren't going to be as good as some of the more expensive ones.

Look at pet food, there are certain standards to meet there too, but I won't feed my dog anything less than one of the best. Sometimes worse brands are just as expensive.

    Hope that helped. :)

  4. Breast is best. I tried to breastfeed but gave up. Out of guilt, I bought the most expensive stuff possible. I've just recently switched to a cheaper brand as it's the "next step" stuff and she doesn't need much of it. There is no difinitive answer, though I wish someone would do a d**n study already. When you compare the labels, there are very slight differences. And the composition is different too. The more expensive stuff is more smooth than the other. So there has to be some kind of difference. If money is a serious issue, you have to do what you have to do. But if you got the money, go with the more expensive stuff just in case.

  5. YES,YES,YES. there are standards they have to meet! go to parentschoiceformula.com or whichever you are considering and it should have a comparison. i am sick of people on here saying its not as good when they DONT have the facts. my son isnt any less healthy as a similac baby. look into the FACTS. and i am not directing this in a mean mannered way towards anyone.

  6. Not at all

  7. More than likely but if you still have your doubts...compare the ingredients in each.

  8. I would assume so otherwise it wouldn't be on sale, but have a look on the back of the pack and compare.

  9. I found the generic formula to be much easier on my daughter's tummy.  I checked the ingredients list and it was very comparable at half the price.

Honestly... they are all manufactured at the same plant, just packaged differently.

  10. don't know about all of them but we use generic sams club for enfamil lipil and i compared the nutrients myself....they are the same...i asked my ped; he said no prob...can't vouch for any others, but this one, but it is great!!!!!

  11. It depends on how you're baby reacts to it.  For my son I remember that certainformulas gave him gas or made his p**p a little acidic, but that was later on.  I say that for a newborn, go with what makes less gas for the little one because that's really uncomfortable for them!   And even though it's tough, don't sacrifice quality and the well being of your child due to price.  Happy shopping!
