I want to go back to school to be a college professor. I currently have a Bachelors in Business Administration, and I want to stick with the business field. I was wondering if getting a Masters in Business Education would be a good choice to become a college professor (I know I will still have to get a doctorate), or does this program mostly prepare you to teach high school?

  1. A masters in business ed would prepare you to teach high school. An MBA would likely be better preparation, although I don't know why you wouldn't try to enter a PhD program directly.

To enter a PhD business program, a master’s degree is not required, although many applicants have master’s degrees in fields like economics, engineering, psychology and statistics. But business ed? Probably not a good fit.
