I am only like a month along. I want to get it in honor of my last daughter that passed away. It will be 1 year in Oct. since she passed and was wondering if it would be safe for me to do it now since I wanted to get the tattoo originally in Oct. and then I will be a couple months along. Anyone know?

  1. Actually, I just got a mini tattoo on my finger in my 27th week (last week).  A good tattoo artist will always use clean needles/tools with each customer and fresh ink everytime as well.  And be sure to keep the tattoo clean at all times, as it can be like a cut.  Since I had a small one on my ring finger (my husbands name), I just use lotion and neosporin.  You want to avoid infection at all costs.  But if you're getting one of those monster size tattoos, well...I'm not so sure that would be a good idea....Good Luck!  (sorry to those that don't agree with me, but anyway, a cut is a cut, and my tat was little.  It barely hurt!)

  2. Good luck with tht cos a tattoist artist won't do a tattoo on a pregnant women so.

  6. when you look at the agreement the artist has you sign it asks if your pregnant, because they will NOT tattoo a pregnant woman. theres too much risk.

the article below will tell you all about it - from amazing pregnancy

  7. No, in fact any good tattoo artist will not tattoo a pregnant or breastfeeding woman. Mostly because of the risk of Hepatitis

  8. i got a ankh tattoo on my front shoulder when i was almost 5 months .as long as you don't put it on your stomach or back or around the area of the baby you should be fine.

  9. GAH! No! Jesus! I am very sorry for your loss but maybe find another way to honor the memory of your child? Or just wait until you are done breastfeeding.
