Is getting hired in New Orleans difficult?

I was thinking about working at a bar or harrahs, or a resturant. How difficult is finding a job?

Almost every business in the metro area has a Help Wanted sign outside.  That is particularly true for bars and restaurants, though I don't know about Harrahs.

depends, can you read and write? Even before Katrina the job out look was pretty good because no one that could work wanted to work. Now there are few prospects at all.

There are absolutely TONS of jobs out there in the hospitality field. And I know for sure that Harrahs is hiring almost any position you can think of. Hope this helps. Happy hunting!

The service industry for restaunrants and bars is always in need of staff especially after the storm. If you have experience you will not have any issues finding a job. If you dont have any background in the field I am guessing that some of the smaller establishments will give you a chance and you can get experience and move onto something more high end if you wish.
