Is getting into highschool sports hard?

Question

I am going to be a freshman next year and I want to play volleyball for my highschool. My dilemma is that I am not the best player...but i am not the worst. I want to make the team so bad but i know there is going to be some tough competition. so my question is (as stated above) is getting into highschool sports hard???

no not really i made JV when i was a 8th grader just try really hard and just show them that u will never give up and of course it helps if u have a lil talent in the sport but effort should do it

well rite now i am coach for the volleyball team at my old high school for jv.... and most of the freshman make it.....if u have some skill they will keep u.....but just play ur butt off and show the coach u want 2 play for him/her

It depends on the size of your school the higher class your school is in the more players can be on the team, but it also depends on how good the team is. If there are a lot of returning varsity players it will be harder but keep your head up. You CAN do it!

Na, it just depends how much you want it. freshmen volleyball shouldn't be hard for you since you know the basics of volleyball. I say go for it:) good luck

Generally it isn't hard to get on a team. That is if you're okay with being on JV. If you're school team is really good then it'll be hard to get on to varsity. And if you're doing it for college then there's really no point if you're not on varsity. Sports are fun though but they take a lot of time, so choose wisely.

well, its not always about how good you are but how much effort you give. So I say just just try your best(give it 110%), never get lazy, and if you do this I almost garranty you will make the team. well hope I helped and good luck

You have to try your hardest because a lot of coaches look for that as well as talent. Depending on how big your school is, it will probably be harder to make it. But I don't think it is very hard to make JV volleyball, especially in high school. And at least if you try out you will have a good chance to make it, but if you don't you will have no chance. So you should definitely try out! Good Luck!
