  1. Try this link. It should help.

  2. It really depends on what area of Vancouver and Surrey you are talking about and if you are using public transit or driving.

If for example you take transit and live close to a Skytrain station, on average from Vancouver to Surrey will take about 35 - 40 minutes.

If you drive from Downtown Vancouver to Surrey along the freeway it will take about 50 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the time of day.

Burnaby will be slightly less and again depending on what area of Burnaby you live.  Driving from South Burnaby to Surrey takes about 20 - 30 minutes depending on what part of Surrey you are going to.  The Skytrain will get you there in about 20 - 30 minutes.  New Westminster is even closer if you are trying not to live in Surrey and a lot of students live there.

Check out www.mytelus.com Maps and Directions and if you enter the addresses or approximate addresses of your departure and destination addresses, it will give you an approximate driving time.  Also if you check out www.translink.bc.ca you can do the same thing to estimate transit time.

  3. Since you would be living in Vancouver and going to Surrey, you would be going without traffic.  Depending what areas you live in in Vancouver it can take between 25 and 45 mins to get to Surrey by car.

By Transit, you would probably want to live somewhere near a Skytrain station.  By Skytrain it can take between 25 and 40 mins depending on where you were going and coming from.  Plus some time possibly on the Bus.

Burnaby is a little closer to Surrey so the time would be cut by about 5-15 mins by car or by Skytrain.
