  1. sometimes its good, sometimes its bad.

bad for the fans, team etc.

good for the fans, team etc.

depends on who is being traded.

  2. Depends on the team, If it is to a better eam then yes

  3. It depends on what team you get traded to. Say you get traded to the LA Kings..ugghhh you're going to need Zoloft.

If you get traded to a contender like Anaheim or the Red Wings you'd more than likely be happy.

  4. well it depends. because u cna get traded to a better team for more money which can be a good thing. but it can be bad thing by ur not deserving of the team.

  5. It is part of the business. But it is rarely a good thing.

A player has friends and his family has developed roots in the community. The disruption to the family wears on the player and on the family.

Psychologists rate changing jobs as one of the highest stress actions that can take place. Moving to a new location is another high stress activity. When a player is traded both of these things happen at once.

Put yourself in a player's position imagine going into work tomorrow and having your boss tell you that you are no longer working there and will start work tomorrow in another city 1500 kms away. Bye.

Tell your wife or husband that you are going to have to move and you won't be around to help. Tell your kids that they are going to have to find all new friends.

Sucks doesn't it. It happened to me twice in my life and I'm not a hockey player. It took my kids two years to start talking to me again after one of these "trades". The next time I just went on my own. My marriage just about failed so I quit my job and retired early.

  6. Depends how you look at it. Sure it would suck, but at least you know you are wanted SOMEWHERE. I mean depending on your relationship with front office and the Locker Room it may be they are trading you to get rid of your bad attitude. Also trade deadline sees rental players(contract is up after that year) moving around to make a run, so wouldn't call that trade bad.

  7. its good because the good player will get recognized for all the hard work hes doing.

  8. I think it is all about who gets the most benefit.  Sometimes it is the player and sometimes it is the league

  9. It all depends on who you are and where you get traded to. Brad Stuart was traded from the Kings (last place) to the Red Wings (Stanley Cup Champs) at the deadline  - you can bet your bottom dollar he is happy about that trade!

Fortunately the Red Wings only gave up draft picks, but imagine if they had traded one or two players for him, boy would they be pissed!

  10. It all depends on the player. So basically the benefit.

  11. depends whether the other team is better or worse and what sort of opportunities it brings

  12. Its good if you are traded to a better team but not so if its a bad team, so get traded and make more money others leave cause they don't like their current team mates and switch which isn't that bad.

  13. Good if the other team is better, bad if its not

  14. well it depends on if you are getting traded because you're good and you're going to a better team or if you are bad and going to a sucky team.

  15. It all depends, if the player isnt happy with the team hes playing for and his team gets someone better in the trade then its a good thing. It could be a bad thing when the player doesnt want to leave or if the team traded someone good but didnt get the good end of the deal

  16. Depends on which side you ask.

Is the team trading for a slaray dump or for a better player.

Is the player going to a better team or a team with no shot at the cup?

  17. Any trade could be both good or bad.

    Positives:

-Some trades could free up salary cap space.

-A team could be trading an underachieving player for someone who could help them.

-Trading to fill a need could bring a team to the next level.

-A change of scenery for a player could spark their career.

-Good teams could trade to get depth on their team.

-Players traded from a bad team to a contenting team improving their chances to win the Cup.

    Negatives:

-The traded player does not perform well on your team.

-Team chemistry/locker room attitude could change negatively.

-If you trade away prospects, you risk them excelling (becoming stars) for another team.

-High-priced traded players (or with bad contracts) could impact the team's salary cap.

  18. Pros:

You get to work with a new organization, learn more and make new friends, new fans.  Sometimes, its neccessary to move to get more minutes on the ice or to simply avoid an organization that have abused you.  Mite get traded to a good team with a playoff spot opposed to a non=playoff contending team.

    Cons:

You mite not wanna leave.  leave behind a lot of fans and freinds.  Have to relocate your home maybe. You also mite start off with a good team, but then get tradeded to a team with no playoff chacne.
