Is getting your ipod engraved only free from apple if you order it?

Hi i want to get a 5gb 3rd generation of apple nano ipod. First of all is the 3rd generation nano any good? If i get it is it only a free engravement from apple if you order it?

Please help!!!

Definetly, yes it is only free  in apple.

Yes it is unless you find another company which engraves for free, although most likely they wont sell APPLE ipods.

But it you order it from apple you can def get it engraved.

If you find it cheaper somehwere else then you can always buy it then then take it to an engraver. :]

idk if it is, but my dad got mine engraved for me, and he is the cheapest guy on the planet, so it cant be too much

You get a free laser engraving when you order your iPod directly from the apple store.

The 3rd generation Nano is a beautiful iPod. It is more square than the other iPods, which allows for  widescreen video. It has a very high resolution screen, and comes in cool colors. The back scratches fairly easily though. I would say definitely buy it. However, the nano is not available in 5gb. It sells as 4gb or 8gb. (1000, and 2000 songs, respectivly) The 4 gb is $150I think

I believe you are correct. I don't think you can send it to them post purchase for the free engraving.
