Its very easily available out here in India as well.

Same applies to most of the indian grocery stuff available overseas.

However housewives prefer freshly chopped/grinded ginger - garlic for cooking as the flavour when fresh is just awesome.

ginger n garlic paste is very well used in India. I use it for my daily cooking. The ones by Smith & Jones and Dabur are very good.

Ginger and Garlic are very common food ingredients in many places and are being used in making food in particular when cooked in Grills.

In many places it is used in Bread to add taste when toasted.
