Is girl gymnast from chinese team really 16 years old??

this is a picture of the girl from the chinese olympic gymnast teams. she is the first girl in the picture, in the very front, and is extremely small and young-looking even for a sixteen year old. i dont think she's sixteen.

the first one def doesn't look 16. i dont think some of them are which is sad because that doesn't look very good for their country to have to cheat (if they did cheat which i am not sure if they did or not)

Alot of Asians (not all) look much younger than their actual age...I bet nobody would be questioning their ages if USA won.  These girls have competed in past competitions...so they were what 6-7 during those competitions?  Isn' that almost unhumanly possible for 6-7 yr old kids to be jumping and flipping at the level?

No they are not they haven't proved that them ll of but the IOC is investigateing it further but they did prove that one of the girls were 13 years old.

the thing is the gov't released passports saying they ARE 16. So u cant argue with the gov't since it is Federal issued. My personal opinion is they arent but who knows

I'm pretty sure she's not. China is SO SHADY! There are reports coming out about faking passports and documents to make their ages 16 and over. I hope the IOC investigates and takes their medals...

Just because a person is Asian does not mean they have Wonder-Twin powers with the ability to fool everyone who is non-Asian of their age nor does it mean everyone else is jealous.

No, thats why there is a big scandal.  You have to at least turn 16 the year of the Olympics, but according to a newspaper she is 14.

None of them are 16, but it's all said and done so we need to move on. Not much you can do about it now. False passports say they are 16.

They could be...just because they don't look like American 16 year old (that is, too old looking for their age) doesn't mean they're not 16.

it's possible. Some people look young for their age, it happens, especially for Asians I think. People are just sore losers.

I'm Asian.. Take my sister for example, when she was 17 years old people told her she looked like she was 14 all the time. It's not uncommon to look a few years older or younger than what you actually are, Asian or not. You're an idiot.
