Can also be Section 20. Totally depends on the circumstances, severity of the attack and, most importantly, specific intent.  Was the glass broken first and then used to slash ? If so, that's almost certainly Section 18 with intent.  Either way, unless the glass was thrown, or lifted in self-defence, it's a very serious assault and is likely to incur a custodial sentnce.
