Is global warming a part of earth's natural cycle?

We had the cooling down periof of ice age and I just wonder if global warming is a normal thing for our earth but maybe it has been accelerated by human activity? It is noted that after the ice age, the earth warmed up again.

  1. Yes it is a part of the earth's natural cycle. That is the way it always has been. I highly doubt that humans are accelerating it. Maybe a slight microscopic amount but not significantly. It is caused by nature and the earth's orbit and relativity to the sun.

  2. Yes, very much so.  Understand that all the "global warming" hype is a new corporate and government way of soaking money out of those willing to fall for it.

  3. There is considerable evidence that the Earth goes through regular cycles of warming and cooling.  The problem as you already guessed is that human technology has greatly accelerated the process.  Normaly in the natural cycle the warming would only be something like one fifth of a degree per century.  A slow, leisurely pace that would allow many other natural cycles to adjust gradulaly.  What we have seen is a rise of somewhere between three and five degrees in less than half a century, a rate at least 20-30 times the natural cycle.  As a result other natural cycles, such as the weather patterns, plant growth, and animal migrations, are going haywire trying to adjust so quickly.

  4. Global warming is a natural phase of Earth, caused by some Solar Activities by Sun. We human don't have to bother about it. Some of the environmentalist says that this is because of the CO2 we are emitting into the environment, but the reality is that we are just contributing towards 1% to 10% of actual global warming.

If the actual cause of Global Warming is CO2 emitted by the humans then why Global Warming occures on other planets. Just Google for "Global Warming on other planets" and see the results, there are no humans on other planets.

Having too little CO2 in the environment will cause for the plants to die more early, more over it also cools down the temperature on earth.

Having too much CO2 (obiviously, not caused by humans. Mostly generated in the Sea/Oceans) will lead to Green House effect and will lead in increasing the temperature on Earth.

So, the best is to plant more trees so that there would be a balance for the consumption of CO2 on the planet.

So, next time whenever somebody says you about global warming, just ignore it.

  5. Of course not. If recent global warming was part of some natural cycle, then someone would be able to describe this cycle. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

Anyone who claims that natural cycle are responsible either:

    A. Don’t understand the times scales involved and confuse the Milankovitch cycles (orbital changes) responsible for past ice ages with recent climate changed caused by anthropogenic (manmade) greenhouse gases.

    B. Are trying to confuse you by blaming the sun, even though the sun has been recently cooling, not warming.

    C. Religious fundamentals that use “natural cycles” as a euphemism for God inspired.

The global warming deniers ignore the fact the ALL of the 35% increase in atmospheric CO2 is from human sources[1] and greenhouse gases prevent heat from escaping back into outer space.

  6. It will warm and then cool again with or without any input from us humans.

    Don't worry, be happy!!

  7. No one says it isn't, just at the speed we are making it happen.   Death is just part of the natural cycle, but some people get pretty upset when someone kills their family.
