Is global warming going to kill us no matter what before too long? 'Cause of all that crops will die and we'll be dead and developing countries will be cannibals and that there's like, a pollution sheild thing so if we run out of fuel or stop polluting, everything will get hot? I hope there are aliens...=/ So yeah, is there any way to stop this?

  1. go out side and breath some fresh air. It will be o.k.

  2. No Grasshopper.  Who told you that?

  3. I like it warm.

  4. If we don't take massive steps, like breaking off our dependence on foreign and fossil fuels.

but for more accurate info just go to

    and watch an inconvenient truth.

you can also go to youtube and type in Leo DiCaprio's documentary about global warming, i forget what it is called but it is amazing!

  5. Don't listen to Ted Turner or Al Gore. In fact don't believe anyone who tells you the world is going to end if we don't do what they say. That's been going on for hundreds of years, just never so openly and with the media as a cohort.

If it does get warmer that will be a good thing for nearly everyone, there is very little chance of a catastrophic rise in sea levels in the next 1000 years or so, more CO2 helps plants grow since they use it as food. The last two times it got warmer than it was in 1998 were both good times for humanity and for other life on Earth. Look up the Medieval Warm period and the Roman Warm period at the links below.

CO2 not only makes plants grow faster, such as crops, but they require less water to do so, making agriculture easier not harder. What causes famines is usually bad government either in the form of poor planning or corruption, or both. If you really are worried, stop eating beef so they don't raise as many cattle, they give off methane which is a far more harmful greenhouse gas than CO2.

The pollution shield you mention is the aerosol effect of car pollution. It's not likely that we'll switch away from oil anytime soon and in any case the aerosols remain in the air for some time, helping to cool the planet. Ironic that air pollution is a good thing in this case.

  6. I'd like to believe that the human race can survive in some form.  I sure intend to try.  If I don't make it, I don't make it.  Nobody ever accomplished anything by giving up.  Our ancestors faced great challenges too.

  7. What is going to happen?

A follow-up report by the IPCC released in April 2007 said the following

    Sea level may rise

Some small islands are in danger

Glaciers around the world could melt, causing sea levels to rise while creating water shortages in regions dependent on runoff for fresh water.

Strong hurricanes, droughts, heat waves, wildfires, and other natural disasters may become commonplace in many parts of the world. The growth of deserts may also cause food shortages in many places.

More than a million species face extinction from disappearing habitat, changing ecosystems, and acidifying oceans.

Global warming could lead to large-scale food and water shortages and have catastrophic effects on wildlife.

  8. Us?  In this generation.  No.

In the future, probably not all of "us".  Some people will be left.  But a large percentage of the living things will die out.

The first is the ocean.  Then lands... Then plants, then people...  A few will be left.

If we stop now, we are still going to get warm, but will be at a much slower rate.  Instead of reaching that point in the next 100-200 years, we will reach it in the next 1000-2000 years.  Hopefully, by then we will figure ways to survive.

Oh, eventually, Ice age will be here again.

  9. no

  10. Ha what kind of lunatic people are you!

There are bumps in the road in our climate that is why people 20 years ago thought there was going to be the next Ice Age!

Really though are you people serious 3 days ago Al Gore called 1/2 of American Scientists and us people stupid for not following him in!

What else do you people believe that Gore has told you like that he has invented the Internet, people it is called Global Climate Change!

OK and plus he is not even a scientist for gosh sake oh and his movie when the ice bergs were falling in the Ocean yeah that was Alaska in the spring that happens there every year.

But you have the right to believe that junk he speaks because we live in a democracy and that is why he is not President now.

  11. yes global warming can only be stop at the early time by stopping uses of  burning fire woods and uses of things which causes effects to the environment.

  12. uh, no. please, do yourself a favor and stop believing these global warming scare tactics. the globe is not, and will not warm up to the catastropic realms the global warming religion wants you to believe. their message is a lie, and they know it.

  13. of course not! global warming isn't real it is just something ale gore made up. the hole in the ozone is natural, you can use hairspray it won't make a difference. we should start using energy efficient cars to save fuel but if you don't,  it won't kill everybody on the earth.

  14. No. Plant life and animals thrive in a slightly higher temp.

  15. The answer is that it will kill some of us, but not in the way you think. Case in point, the Global Warming scaremongers, for several years, have been promoting Bio Fuels as a correct green energy alternative. As a result millions of metric tons of grains and thousands of hectares of commercial farming land, have gone over to Bio Fuels. Brazil is one of the largest producers of Bio Fuels world wide the US is a fast approaching 2nd. GUESS WHAT! as a result of this action, Millions of acres of the AMAZON RAIN FOREST will be plowed under to meet the demand of sugar cane Bio Fuels.  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18332282

The price of Corn and Rice is skyrocketing impacting most harshly on the poor hundreds of thousands if not millions world wide will risk starvation because of Global Warming junk science. http://www.foreignaffairs.org/20070501fa...

Estimates are that every gallon of Bio Fuel takes 7-10 gallons of fresh water to produce from the base material, making worse the World-Wide fresh-water shortage, and also endangering health & safety globally. http://www.nap.edu/catalog.php?record_id...

Many that could additionally be saved by relief aid the UN and Europe provide for the 3rd world, will die because recent mandates that all aid use less efficient but more 'Green' energy technologies. You perhaps were not expecting these unintended consequences to the 'noble' cause of Global Warming, but there is that saying...'The road to h**l is paved with good intentions'...

  16. we can stop it but we need to stop burning focile fules they prouduce carbindioxide wich keeps the suns rays stuck in the atmosphire "i hope there are alians too :-/"
