  1. it may be or the earth is changing since time begining it makes no difference i think it is to late.

  2. No. There is no evidence CO2 is causing the current warming.

  3. mainly

  4. Yes, pretty much any scientist worth is salt (and not paid by the Republican Party) agrees that man shares some of the blame for Global Warming.  He is probably not the only cause but we aren't helping the situation any.

    -  The C02 levels are rising that is an inescapable fact.

    -  CO2 is a greenhouse gas.

    -  The Arctic, Greenland and Antarctic Ice Caps are melting that is a fact.

    -  We have been deforesting the land for centuries and we have been burning fossil fuel with CO2 that has been trapped in the ground since the dinosaurs ever since coal powered trains.

Those are all facts that can't be disputed with.

Sherwood Forest was once a huge forest, now it is lost, and suspected to have been reduced to a single grove of trees thanks to the huge wooden navy that England had.  That is also a fact.  What man does leaves a lasting impact on the earth, and there is a limit to what nature can do to heal itself.

Last month an experiment was conducted in the Grand Canyon to see if they could revitalize the ecology there by rebuilding lost sandbars.  The bypass tunnel was opened and allowed to run for one day.  The difference in the sand bars was measurable, but the power companies were more worried about the lost revenue.  The scientists want to make it an annual event, but the power company objects.

If personal interest gets in the way of the environment it is amazing how many people will ignore what is a plain as the nose on their face for the sake of profit, to the determent of the environment; after all the problems won't be bad until our children inherit them; just like the national debt.

Just think for a minute, the standard policy to clear land in Mexico, Brazil, and Indonesia is to burn the trees.  Coal, oil and natural gas are all fossil fuels—left over plant matter that was around when the dinosaurs were walking.  We humans have been burning wood, coal, gas, and oil for a long time, but never so much as we have been in the last 60 years.  Meanwhile we are plowing under more forests to put in new subdivisions, laying out more concrete and all the while pumping out more pollution.  How can we NOT be increasing the CO2 levels?  We are burning our own supply of plants, the supply of third world nations AND the dinosaur’s supply of plants; all of that represents CO2 that was once locked up inside of plants (remember plants breath in CO2 and exhale oxygen).

By the way if you follow the history of ice ages should be in one right now, not in a warming trend.  Most of that warming trend has been caused by man.  But, that is just history and history means nothing, right.  At least if you are afraid of losing money it means nothing.

Here is a little fact for you the US has the largest coal reserves in the world.  We use most of it to fuel our power plants.  There is a way to burn the coal hotter and remove most of the waste and CO2, but it costs more.

If you don't think that big business is willing to sacrifice the environment to make a buck and go hang the cost then you forget the years of lies told by the cigarette companies and they even had paid scientists backing them up.  The scientists who believe in global warming aren't just mean green fools, they are respected climatologists and academics who only have their reputation on being honest and correct at stake.  The scientists who say we are not contributing to global warming are paid by coal and oil users, and you can pay someone to say almost anything.

  5. EXTRAPALATION, EXTRAPOLATIONS, EXTRAPOLATING, THAT'S THE ONE THING REAL SCIENTISTS AGREE,  WE DO A LOOOOT OF WHEN IT COMES TO GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Mostly caused by pollution and garbage. Since garbage in the dump gives off a gas called methane after a while of staying there, chemicals are released into the air. This includes carbon monoxide which is one of the many chemicals that can cause a raise in temperature.

  7. No.  Earth has been gradually warming up since the last ice age ended.  The few people around at the time couldn't have possibly created enough pollution to cause any measurable damage.  Earth has been through several ice ages before that and humans weren't even around yet.

  8. It has a lot of causes - we're contributing to it.  If we stop our contribution, and maybe even help to reverse it, it may slow down, or even stop.

But that would mean that we'd have to give up a lot, so we won't, until it's too late, and then we'll look for someone to blame.

  9. Notwithstanding a lot of noise on the subject, nobody knows for sure, and indeed it isn't possible to do so as it is obviously impossible to carry out a controlled experiment.  We know that CO2 levels have gone up.  There is some evidence that the planet is getting warmer.  Whether there is a cause and effect relation here, or if so, which is which, is speculation.

  10. absolutely...

  11. i am responsible for it, and i'm proud of it.
