  1. nasa disproved this theory u know

  2. YAWN.

    BORRRRRRRRRING!

  3. ...Do you mean.... GLOBAL WARNING?.....I don't know when the actual warning will go out.......

  4. Global warming is a made-up event designed to scare you into buying "carbon credits" from Al Gore and his obscenely rich cronies.

Real science has showed the earth cooling at it's most rapid rate in 75 years over the past 12 months.

The earth warms up, the earth cools down-it's a natural cycle.

  5. for sure... we can already see the effects. more and more ice is melting in the north pole because of the global warming. (this happens because of the gases released in atmosphere by man). because of the ice melting, the saltines of the oceans will be modified. as a result of this, the warm ocean current that comes from Mexico and goes to the Britain islands will stop flowing, resulting a new ice age....

  6. Offcourse yes,the quantity of ice in Antarctica is continuously decreasing because of Global warming. It has also other bad effects.U can read article here-http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/...

It may result in increase in the level of sea water>http://www.news.com.au/mercury/story/0,2... is a serious problem.

  7. yes and its going to kill us all in 2012

  8. Climate change is a money and power grab scheme by the bottom feeder politicians and power brokers. It's nothing to do with ecology and everything to do with money.

Con artists like Gore have enriched themselves on this issue, taking home Oscars, Nobel Prizes and millions of dollars. Meanwhile, evangelical leaders are setting up their flocks for extreme fleecing by leftist politicos like Barack Obama, who will appeal for Christian votes by talking in glowing, biblical-sounding terms about "being good stewards of God's creation."

Here is truth about global warming:

Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.

The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.

This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since

there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.

Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is

becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).

As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).

When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.

It's been happening for millions of years.

The worrisome and brutal predictions of drastic climate effects are based on computer models, NOT CLIMATE HISTORY.

As you probably know, computer models are not the most reliable of sources, especially when used to 'predict' chaotic systems such as weather.

    Global warming/cooling, AKA 'climate change':

    Humans did not cause it.

    Humans cannot stop it.

  9. Okay, this is really kind of getting to me, and it shouldn't.  These people who keep saying the ice in the antarctic and the arctic is getting less and less each year are either blissfully ignorant or just plain lying.

It is fact that there is more ice there now than there has been in the last five years.  There was more snow coverage in the northern hemisphere this last year and all the ice that had melted is back again.

People!  Pick up a recent news paper or magazine.  Not one that is one or two years old.

No, global warming is not going to be in effect.  It is a natural cycle of the Earth.  It warms and cools.  Look up the medieval warming period, it was warmer then than it is now.  Greenland used to be farm land by the Vikings and it's ice and glacier ridden now.

This year is also much cooler than the years past.

  10. I believe global warming is happening for the following reasons.  1)  History shows us that in general the climate has been warming over the past several centuries.  First-hand histories talk of events such as rivers or bays freezing in the 1700's that don't occur today.

    2)  My own mother, who grew up in the Great Depression, had ice skates.  So what?  Well, you didn't have anything as frivolous as ice skates back then if you didn't use them a lot.  Which she did, because the local ponds and lakes froze over every winter, heavy enough for skating (this is in the Pacific Northwest).  During my lifetime, those ponds have frozen over once (back in the 1960s when I was very small).

    3) As a forester I have studed the phenonmenon of pioneer succession, where plants invade and inhabit the ground exposed by retreating mountain glaciers.  As a result I've become familiar with glacier retreat in mountain ranges all over the world.

Temperatures go up and down...one year is hot, the next year is cold.  But over all, the trend from my own personal experience and observation has been one of increasing temperatures.  Next question.  Are humans to blame?  I don't think we're the cause, since this does seem to be something that's been happening for centuries.  But I gotta think we're now contributing to it.  There're 6 BILLION of us right now...that's a lot of people.  We've got to be having some effect, wouldn't you think?  If you don't, consider this.  I live in the country.  On summer days when I travel to the city, it's 10 to 15 degrees hotter there, due to reflected and trapped heat.  So at least locally we can affect the weather.

By the way, I thought Al Gore's movie was TERRIBLE.  It was flat-out wrong in many places, and made to appeal to the already converted.  It overlooked many notable environmental contributions made by Republicans, for instance, and was not very persuasive to those who don't think global warming is an issue.  A very bad documentary.
