  1. I don't mean to counter what the other answerers are saying, but YEAH, IT'S IMPORTANT! I wish my family were doing what your mom is. By removing these chemicals from our daily life, we reduce fuel emissions, keep our water and air cleaner, save animals and plants, and SO much more! Have you ever stopped and thought about where the average person's soap suds, (which reeks with chemicals,) goes? It goes to your local water supply, which could be the ocean, a lake, a swamp, wherever. It destroys the cleanliness of that water and makes it unlivable for fish, coral, and so they all die, and the ones who CAN live there overpopulate themselves. Not going green throws the natural balance of life out the window and makes up its own rules, without thinking about ALL causes and ALL effects. Natural means you're not disturbing things to much to live the way you want. If the nail polish remover thing really bothers you, try and find another way to remove it naturally, so you and your mother are pleased. Doing all this also prolongs the already shortened life span of our Earth, which is great for our future generations. You would be amazed to see how something, like even wearing clothing made of Polyester, is bad for the environment. Do you even know how they make Polyester? Let's just say it's not a very natural process. I hope I've helped you to somewhat see your mom's perspective, and I hope you'll maybe try to help her. Thanks for reading!

  2. She can do as she wants, but I don't think she should be dictating to you what you need to do.  I think going green is a big waste of time.

  3. "Going green" is just a buzzword for living mindfully. It's being responsible with the planet. the natural products such as vinegar work *just* as well as the expensive, harmful chemicals in the fancy bottles, and are much cheaper and don't pollute the water, air etc.

It's right, because as more and more people become aware of the fragility of the environment we have a chance to save it before we all die.

It's usually the youth who push their parents to be "green." I'm surprised at your idea of it being "crazy."

I hope you have a world to live in when you get older. If we all work together, you might.

  4. No, she's not crazy...overzealous maybe, but not crazy.  Going green is great in theory, but it's not for everyone.

Go buy some more nail polish, and hide it in your room. lol  It won't kill anyone for you to keep using it.

  5. crazy? not truely.she wants to save earth don't u?
