Is going to a college prep high school really more beneficial then a normal high school?

Well, Im beginning high school next year and my mom is thinking about sending me to a college prep school. The only problem is I dont want to leave all the friends I have now (well, not very many because Im not a dirty little s***k like everyone else, but a few of my friends, :]) unless I know it will really be worth it.

So, normal high school vs. college prep high school?

Any past experience?

it rlly makes no difference to be honest. normal high school offers AP [advance placement] courses or IB courses that are college-level. i know people who have gone to normal high schools and have ended up in harvard, cornell and other prestigious colleges. it's your choice don't let your mom decide.
