  1. If he's asking what you want to do it probably is too expensive, just say dinner then mabey an upper class dance club would be nice (as opposed to a bar).

  2. It depends what your budget is, which opera house, who you are going with and what you are seeing. If your date is a romantic, you should see a verdi opera. If you date is not very intrested in opera, dont go. However, if your date has never been to the opera, go to something less hardcore, like mozart operas. If you come at a good time opera tickets can be to some extent cheaper. Personally, if someone brought me to the opera on a first date, I would probably end up marrying them. It is really romantic and might be a change of pace for your date,

  3. The opera sounds a bit too overdramatic for a first date. I'd stick to a small concert.

  4. depends on the opera and the restaurant AND your age.

If you're a teenager: yes it's a bit on the staunchy side also for a teenager

If you're above the age of 21: it shouldn't be too expensive...but of course it depends on the guy whose going.  If he's a blue colar sort of guy most likely the Opera really isn't his thing...get what i'm saying.

when you pick a where you want to go on a first date you want to pick something neutral....that you think you both might like.  Opera isn't something that everyone likes....its more an aquired taste really.  You should do dinner and maybe dancing and drinks afterwards....or even a quite lounge with i nice ambiance where you two can get to know each other.  that's if you're above the age of 21.  if you're a teenager...dinner and movie.  Indiana Jones was really good btw

  5. Not unless you have a long history with this person, they've repeatedly expressed their love of opera, the two of you have never been at a loss for conversation....

Oh, forget the maybe-ifs and perhaps-it-can.  It is a TERRIBLE first date.  It is too expensive, too passive, too unrelated, too long, too dependent on questionable stimulation and  potential lively conversation...

Two prime considerations for plans for a first date: 1)  if the person blows you off completely, how much would you be set back and how upset would you be?  2) if you realize within 15 minutes of the date that neither of you can tolerate the other, what is the possibility of salvaging some fun from the evening?

  6. it depends on how well you know each other.  barely at all?  poor choice.  pretty well?  great idea.

  7. Rather boring for me, not a fan of the opera.  If it is similar tastes, I can see it being ok....a little pricey, but if it is a first date, then it should really be dutch anyways.

  8. A good first date is worth the price. But make sure your date likes Opera.

  9. it depends on the payers budget and if you like the opera

  10. um no i dont think so.

  11. it depends what time the opera is

if its at night but before dinner.. the poor guy is gonna starve through it and only be thinking of food. and then when you actually eat its going to cost alot because hes gonna eat alot due to the fact that hes starved

    i say dinner then opera

  12. its depends, firstly i guess you both got to like going to the opera, and it could possibly be a bit extravagant or a memorable first date.

Are you going to pay for the whole evening? i suppose it does not have to be a 5 course meal in a posh restaurant, could be a cheaper just as good establishment
