  1. in stage, no, not at all!

but in california, sadly it is pretty important.

  2. NOPE!!  Depends on the role.  Sometimes it is necessary, other times it isn't.  There are MANY unattractive people that are huge stars.  I won't name names but certainly there is a place for all shapes & looks in Hollywood.  Personality and other things can speak louder - depending on the role you are auditioning for.

    Good luck

  3. haha nooooo.. some of the ugliest ******* are the most talented actors- on stage it doesn't really matter (the audience is too far away to really see), and on screen, there's so much make up and airbrushing that some people can be "fixed."

as long as you have talent, don't worry! good luck! :)

  4. I would say yes and know. I mean look at jack black or adam sandler they are average looking but have good talent and funny. There are a lot of actors that dont look good but are great actors. It does help a lot though im not going to lie. But talent is where it is at

  5. some stupid people think that way.

  6. You'd be surprised how important looks are. It is a helpful addition if you are good-looking. You also have to think about a certain demographic, and viewers. No one really wants to watch an action movie where the main character is really unattractive. They're more likely to go see a movie if the face they'll be seeing on the big screen is pretty to look at. Also, that goes even moreso for women. Not to mention, like I said, the demographic some parts face. Some characters are supposed to be attractive, and others not. Some have to be white, black, asian, tall, small, etc, etc.

But when it comes down to it, even good looks won't excuse a lack of acting ability.
