Is good if your child under 1 is watching too much tv, like two hours a day?? (barney..)?

nope, half n hour or just 1hr as an extent is just fine. 2 hrs is unhealthy

My son is 26 months old. I try to limit to 1 hour to an hour and a half a day- longer on Saturdays because daddy's home and they cuddle and watch cartoons together. Just make sure whatever he's watching is educational, (my son loves Mickey Mouse and Curious George, the Baby Einstein dvd's and Super Why) I personally didn't start letting my son watch tv until he was about.. 14 or 15 months old. Just make sure that you are incooperating physical activity into his schedule also, maybe some arts and crafts too to help stimulate his mind. Also we only have the tv on in the morning, never in the afternoon.

My daughter just turned 1

I let my daughter watch her fav shows Diego,The Back Yard Agains,and a few other educational shows.She chooses which shows,by wanting to watch tv at certain times.

The rule thou is this she cant watch more then 2-3 hours a day,and she cant watch more then 1 hour at a time.

no its not good, better to get your child some educational toys and things. teach them the alphabet song and then to write the alphabet and numbers and then small words from first grade books. then teach them to add an subtract. have fun with them and learning will be fun.

thats fine...

no I'm not a mom..

but i did raise my brothers, and now my little sister while my parents worked full time..

a bad habit though is letting them fall asleep to it..

they wont be able to sleep w/o it pretty soon if they do..

so i wouldn't suggest that
