Is graffiti art or vandalism

I know it is, i am a graffiti artist but i just want 2 know what ppl think!! and its not gonna change my mind i will contuine 2 use the streets as my canvas...

Well of course it's art=) It is, but when you do it on private property-then it's vandalism.

i think it is a type of art as it expresses a state of feeling and trying to portray something like all art. However maybe it's shown in a bad light as it doesn;t tie in with the things around it e.g. having having fluorescent green writing brandished on an old victorian street soend;t look too great in many people's opinion. places of graffiti need to be picked and chosen carefully so graffiti looks good instead of ruining somewhere it contrasts with

It depends on what kind of graffiti you're doing. If you splattering walls with gang symbols and useless words like "HOMIE G'S FO LIFE YAWW" then no you aren't creating art. On the other hand is you're painting beautiful murals then I guess one could consider that "art".

I think it's totally a from of art;however, it depends on where u are doing the graffiti which detemines weather it's vanderlism or not

it depends on what type of graffiti it is. Random gang signs and tags are not art, but murals and such things like that are definitely art, I think it's a great way to get your artwork noticed and get a message across to your area. Anyone who looks at Bansky's graffiti and says that it isn

t art is obviously just kidding themselves.

it really depends. some things are definitely vandalism, but some really great works of art you can find on the street!

A mural expressing feelings or something meaningful is art. Gang signs and rude words/comments are vandalism. Just watch where you do it.
