Is grand lux cafe' in the galleria SUPER expensive?

No its not. But in my opinion, the only thing that is good there is the dessert. The food has no taste to it.

while I cannot answer about the grand lux cafe, we just got back from Cozys restaurant in the Galleria, which I thought was reasonable and very tasty.  (the steaks and seafood are quite pricey, but they have also many affordable selections.)  my dinner was under 20 american dollars for half a chicken, vegetables, and potatoes.  it was a huge portion of food which i could not finish.  just another option for you, just in case.

The food was delicious...The clam chowder  is to die for ...the short ribs were melt in your mouth tender...the sirloin tips were a little tough ..The shrimp Jambalaya  were huge and tasty...but overall the food was great and the price was very reasonable ..around $25 with soup, salad, meal and desert
