  1. no because every religion, even pagan, has to follow a document. since mythology had no document, people didn't know how to act so they turned to Christianity.

  2. Library Dictionary Now!

Or do a definitions search on Google.

    Mythology study of myths.

    Religion Separate thing!

Ancient Greek relgion = Greek Paganism.

    Mythology is not religion!!!

  3. Greek Mythology was and still is in some areas is a religion. All mythologies today were considered religion in their days.

  4. It was and still is a religion. Just western culture has degraded it so much that people call it myth.

  5. Greek Mythology Is not a religion it is the way life is seen thru a writers of fantasy eyes.......

  6. It was in ancient Greece.

It still is among Hellenic Reconstructionists.

Search Yahoo groups for the word "Dodekatheist"

  7. Yes it is a religion. It's a form of Paganism that can still be followed today just as easily as it was several thousand years ago when the Greek civilizations believed in it.

  8. It once was the religion of the Greeks. It was then adopted by the Romans.

    or so i think.

But no one believes in that ancient religion now, so--it's mythology. But do note that it was a religion.

I wonder if any of our present day religions will go the same way.

  9. Mithology was part of greek religion, not the religion itself.

  10. It was in Rome and Greece.

They had Gods, and they praied to them and everything a religion has.

It's not as popular, but there are still some believers

  11. dont know sorry but thats good question!!

  12. No.

  13. Actually, some people do still believe in it, one of my freinds follows it loosely, and I think anything is a religion if someone believes it is. Pastaism is considered a religion, so I'm sure this is too. I don't know what it would be called, though, Olympianism?
