What does your tea do for you? I'd always been a tea drinker. It's such a soothing drink. Is there any kind of tea that is better than another? Your opinions, please.

  1. Your question is possible I think that would be a Black tea not a green tea

  2. Yea, Tea relaxes and refreshes me especially to the people who are trying so hard to show to the other people that they are relaxed when they are really not. It must be a guilt bothering them. Cheers!

  3. no

  4. Well green tea cleanses your body, but there is also black tea which energized you and boosts your metabolism. I love them all, they all have their own effect with your body.

  5. This question kinda reminds me of "Which is a better sport, basketball or football? or Are dogs or cats better pets?". So many different possible answers without one definite conclusive answer.

Off the top of my head, I remember that there are quite a few types of tea from black tea, green tea, oolong tea, herb tea, fruit tea, flower tea and silver tea.

Basically, I tend to simplify them into three main categories:

    - Dark: Black and oolong, having been oxidized longer have more tannins

    - Light: Green and Silver tea, having been oxidized less have less tannins but arguably, more antioxidants

    - Specialty: herb, fruits and flower, teas that are not sourced from tea leaves and their healthful properties depends on their source (chamomile to relax etc.)

I guess your preference for "better" tea really does depend on what you are after. But for me, the better tea would be the one whose taste you like best.

It seems to me that all teas have a healthful property and simply chugging down one only the basis of it's supposed "super" effects (heart-friendly tea, or anti-aging tea) without regard to the taste is frankly, a bit silly and disregards all the hard work and effort put into making these teas taste the way they are. For example, I like green and black tea but cannot stand chamomile and other flower teas. Then I've got friends that have the exact opposite taste.

I guess "the best tea" for everybody is going to be different. The fun in this is the quest to find your own specially cherished tea. Go to a local tea shop and "browse" your way through the shelves and have an adventure!

    Good luck!

  6. i like black tea better

  7. Green tea is rich in anti-oxidant, which besides from inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, it kills cancer cells without harming healthy tissue. It has also been effective in lowering LDL cholesterol levels, and inhibiting the abnormal formation of blood clots.
