I'm always reading that fish is good for you but they always say salmon, mackerel, herring, etc. IE--fish I never eat. What about catfish? Mercury is not a concern as these are farm-raised in clean filtered tanks.

  1. my friend any kind of fish or sea food is a good food even if it was farm raised

just go for it and have fun :)

  2. Yes it is.

  3. Catfish is healthy, but is lower in healthy omega3 oils that your body needs - ocean fish are healthiest, but any fish is good for you.

You also have no real proof that the tanks are clean.  The water could be contaminated with disease, as the technology isn't there to really make sure the fish and the water are healthy.

  4. farm raised.. oh yes, the better fish..   NOT.

but it's ok for you just in moderation.

salmon and tuna are your more omega packed and leaner fishes.

    (fresh, not canned or frozen)

catfish is more fatty but a smooth,  almost buttery texture that's pleasing to the palet.

  5. OK

    what is the real question

    You already know.

The feed, at the Aqua farm, is formulated from standard livestock feed products and the best information the veterinarians can provide the rancher

Fish research scientist's also help to maintain the health of the fish with information of vitamin and mineral levels in the feed as well as the chemistry of the water to control the parasites,, fungus and bacteria..

    Healthy what a silly word..

  6. Catfish is a little more fatty than the others you have mentioned, but it is still a healthy meat- go for it.
