My sister has Horsfield's tortoise. It ate a few bites of grounsel (senecio vulgaris). Is it bad for tortoises?

  1. i can't find this plant on the suggested feeding list for wild plants nor in the toxic house plant list, so i am not sure but it might be best to avoid letting the tortoise eat it in future here is a site that you can see a list of sutible wild plants to feed your tortoise and what plants are to be avoided,  http://www.tortoisetrust.org/  just keep an eye on the tortoise and any signs of illness then get it checked out by a vet, but i am sure a few bites won't hurt  best of luck with the tortoises honey.

EDIT i have been looking at plants and found a toxic plant list done by the tortoise trust it is in the tortoise feeding manual and sencecio is on a the toxic plant list , but don't panic just yet as some toxic plants do not effect some specis, but you do need to keep an eye on the tortosie for the next month if the tortoise gets sick mention the plant it ate to the vet and they should be able to treat it,
