Is gta iv a good game?

what are the pros and cons of the game? is it better than san andreas? and should i get it for pc on november or xbox 360 now?

yeah the game is good.

pros:

better graphics, large detailed city, awesome storyline/characters, physics and game engine is beautiful, and overall the game is more fun and more realistic than san andreas.

cons:

alot of features in sa aren't back in iv, like gambling and planes, driving is much harder (well i don't consider this as a cons but it is different from san andreas i.e. it is now more realistic)

and finally, NO FINGERLESS GLOVES! lol jk

- so you decide if it is better than SA or not, and for the other part of the question, wait and get it for PC, for improved graphics and draw distance and for the mysterious "expanded multiplayer just for PC"

Its just like every other GTA game, your going to love it when you get it, but then as soon as you beat it, it gets repetitive.  

Pros:

beautiful graphics

you can bowl, play darts, watch comedy clubs, date, buy clothes

realistic movement

Cons:

i didn't like the cop warning level in this one

repetitive in the aspect of missions

i'd probably get it for xbox because the game is so big, it will probably slow down your computer

yes me and my brother played it once and the graphics are great and the game itself is great!! but there is alot of swearing in it!!

Pros:

- Excellent graphics.

- The game is quite humorous.

- Multiplayer; supports up to 16 players online (and in one mode, you all can free roam all over the city doing whatever you want)

- Missions are fun, and you are given "two path" type of choices.

- The arcade-ish quality from other GTA games has been toned down for realism.

- 6 stars!

- You now have a cell phone which you may use to call mission people you have met, call a date to go out, put up your own wallpaper or ringtone, and more.

- Bowling, billiards, strip clubbing, and more activities are included in the game, and you can take any of your friendly contacts out with you, too.

- Four large, main islands; and one isle with the "Statue of Happiness" on it.

- Plenty of buildings can be accessed, and so can their roofs.

- Very nice selection of cars, including cars from GTA III and GTA Vice City (i.e. Banshee, Infernus, Diablo, and others).

- New 'set up behind wall' feature, like that in Gears of War.

- Interesting story featuring a multitude of interesting characters.

- More secrets to find (hint: one is inside the Statue of Happiness).

- Hilarious street dialogue, and better pedestrian reactions.

- New aiming system is superb, allowing you to choose between free-aim and a relative auto-aim just depending on the pressure of your finger on the left trigger.

Cons:

- Few character customization options (only clothing).

- Poor and fuzzy shadowing.

- Handling on cars can be a little much, so driving can become a real pain.

- Realism can make the game feel really bland or boring after a while.

- Lack of good cheats.

- No flyable airplanes; only helicopters.

- The map in GTA IV is, overall, slightly smaller than the map in San Andreas.

- When you get shot while you're trying to use your cellphone, it'll drop from use, and you have to get it back out again--just a small annoyance.

- No rhino tank; no military on the 6th star.

- Stealing a car can be frustrating since cars may now be locked by their owners, and sometimes there are alarms installed, so you will usually have to break the window of the car with your elbow or gun.
