Is hacking sites illegal?

not that i do it..i dont even know how...nor even if someone gave me STRAIGHT PERCISE directions i could. im really slow when it comes to internet, html,css slang stuff. hahaa

is it illegal though? bc someone hacked the best site ever..outspoken-kate.com

Hacking is the same thing as breaking into something. Last time I checked breaking into something that doesn't belong to you is Illegal.

yeah, but the guy that hacked her site is from turkey, so I have no idea if it's illegal there

Very illegal.... of course the "illegality" increases as you do more things after hacking the site, for example:

Stealing money - another crime

Stealing information of a person - another crime

Defacing a website (a form of vandalism) - another crime

As you can see, the crimes can add up, in ADDITION to hacking the website in the first place. Point is, just don't do it. :)
