Question:

Is hair conditioner bad for your skin?

When I wash my hair and condition it I tend to put some conditioner on my face so it moisturizes it. Does it make it more oily or is it good for my skin. Any other moisturizer makes my face sticky or dry. The conditioner makes it smooth and clear. But am I making it more oily and not noticing it?

  1. No if you r smooth and clear its fine.

  2. yes and no...its meant for hair not skin try buying a face moisturiser and a face scrub will do the trick

  3. Yeah, it is probably making it more oily, but as long as it doesn't irritate your skin or make your acne flare up, I wouldn't worry about it. It would be better to use a good soap like Dove for sensitive skin, and then use a fragrance free moisturizer such as Cetaphil, which won't clog your pores or make your face oily or stick.

  4. Well yeah it can cause breakouts cause its like moisturizer with oil in it.

I think it's a better bet if you just try out some moisturizers...meant for your face.

Just because thats stuff supposed to be on your hair not skin and it's probably gonna make your skin really oily.

I know alot about skin products and believe me, a good moisturizer for your face will do a better job since that is it's purpose.

Try olay or dove, and look for oil free and don't put too much on you only need a small amount

  5. its meant for your hairrrr, not your face

find moisturizer for your face thats not oily or something

im guessing using hair stuff on your face cant be good

  6. I would think that hair conditioner could break out your skin. I would try some different types of facial moisturizers.

  7. i use hair condirioner on my skin but not on my face. i use a face moisturizer on my face. idk if its good for your face or not. sorry! [=

  8. yeah it clogs pores.

i have to put my hair up in the shower after i condition to keep it off my back.

  9. In the long run probably - conditioner is too thick for your face - it may end up really clogging your pores - always use a light moisturizer for your face - although you can use it as a lather for when you shave your legs for extra moisture!

  10. Hair conditioner has a shine factor to it , there is a chance you could be making your face shinier. it depends on how your skin reacts, so it may also be making ir more oily. just like moisturizers, your face will react differently to certain conditioners. many people use conditioner on their legs for shaving (i am one) and it leaves the skin softer. if you aren't finding any problems with your skin for using the conditioner , go for it!

  11. I  would say if your skin is clear then what your doing is right for your skin type. I don't ever wash my face with anything but water. My skin is very clear. If I wash my face it breaks out. I let the soap from my hair run over my face and that is all. I also don't use any creams or moisurizer on my face either.

  12. Probably are making it more oily cause conditioner is for your hair not your face, and a good moisturizer to use is clean and clears morning burst moisturizer in shine control, it eliminates the bad oils that make your skin bad looking but keeps the good oils that keep your skin looking healthy, You can find this at any drugstore or department store, It has the green lid not the orange. Hope i helped

  13. Don't use conditioner on your skin. It will most likely make it oily.
