Is half of a dollar bill still worth a Dollar?

I got a dollar bill that is ripped in half and I lost one of the half pieces. Can I still use it? Will the bank at least accept it?

as long as the serial number is there take it to any bank and they will replace it- i've done it!

and there's at least half of the dollar in tact.

most business will take it or you can exchange it.
