Is halo 3 fun to play multiplayer?

It's fun with friends, trust me. But if you go on and just do matchmaking, usually it blows. There are too many cocky 13 year old boys on there.

And if there aren't 13 year old boys, there are 25 year old jerks that sit there and play a LOT... so unless you play a lot as well, you get your *** kicked.

But h**l, it's still a core fun game.

I gotta sound off on this one. I do not like the whole space marine story and most things in games like this (FPS) I like to shoot real people or normally something who's blood is red. Just a pet peeve of mine, but that bias will not come into play here. I know this games true replay value comes from multiplayer and it is fun. Expect alot of floaty jumps in some levels with less gravity. I personally don't like this b/c playing defense sometimes calls for alot of jumping which we all know is not a REAL way to act in a firefight. Also I do not like players who run around with the shotty and try to melee and shoot ya. Thas not Cool. Also don't expect to blend in with surrounding environments (camo) as your guys normally bright red or blue. That aside. I do like the environments, richly detailed and when your guy is getting shot, the armor makes a yellow/orange glow to denote damage, cool stuff. Also  the vehicles are awesome and respond fairly well as do all the weapons. I personally love the sticky grenades. Rewards accuracy. The X-Box Live players on the other hand, are all satan spawns apparently. Which kills alot of the online experience so make some friends who cater to your style of play.

To Sum it all up, This game is incredibly fun online as it has been throughout the trilogy. All the hub-bub about a good sci-fi story is bull, as the games true strength is its robust multiplayer online with its legion of fans at the helm. So yeah its fun, but not without its faults. And if this subject matter interests you (space marine deal), then you will probably like it. But with Battlefield, CoD4 and lots of others to come there may be something more out there for you.

if you are any good yes. if not no. There are some seriously hardcore gamers on line and will wipe you out in seconds. I can"t even tell you how furious I was the first time I played.

Halo 3 online, c**p, lods of bS off other palyers.

However Halo 3 wiht a few 360's plugged into a router, a few crates of lager, etc is an excellent luagh with your mates, even if your c**p(like me :P)

To me...No.. All you do is the same freaking thing all the time pick up battle rifle.. try to get the sniper before anyone else.. shoot... shoot.. shoot... get cod 4 instead it's better.  Thumb me down.. fanboys. Can't take the truth?
