NO on both counts if your talking about the version where you where a gloved hand hitting a ball off the wall that came over from Ireland. Besides racquetball in the 1970's really pushed this sport aside.

Team version- NO, NO, NO NO,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... As the only time the USA ever qualifies for Handball is when we host the Olympics 1984 and 1996. There is no pro leagues and it is never on TV except 1 or 2 hrs on some remote cable channel come Olympic time. This is not a sport played from the youth level, HS or college. NO NCAA HANDBALL CHAMPIONS.

they play different rules from chinese handball.

I dunno where it originated, but it is quite popular in Ireland. I think it is a sideline of the GAA. There's a handball stadium right beside Croke Park, anyway.
