  1. gonna die in a car crash. Have about 30 years till it happens so don't tell me there is a God.


  2. Not if it's done right.

    If it's done right, then the neck breaks immediately when the person is dropped, and death is instantaneous.

    If not, then the poor person is strangled by their own body weight, which can take several minutes of struggling and terror.

  3. In days gone by, hanging used to be just that:  the victim would hang from a rope by his neck which would slowly strangle him.  The process could take minutes or hours, and was undoubtedly very painful.

    Modern hangings use the so-called "long drop":  when the trap door opens beneath the victim, he falls several feet before the slack rope snaps taught, breaking his neck and killing him more-or-less instantly.

  5. Maybe, but after you hang for a while you get used to it and stop squirming.
