  1. not remotely...

their engines haven't changed since 1950

air cooled, low compression, make more noise than power twin garbage...

edit: LOL, yeah kato, you got me, I'm jealous...

I'm also jealous of other people using antiquated garbage in the real world...

Like the guy reading this page on his commodore 64, or tandy...or the guy usinf those old fashioned (engine free) push mowers to mow his lawn, and the guy using the old style "suitcase" cell phone, and let's not forget about the dude with the black and white tube tv...

I'm jealous of all of them...i wish my stuff was so vintage...and had LESS capabilities

  2. Yes.

  3. if they do change it wont be much. know why? we LIKE our dinosaurs, dammit! and H-D damnwell knows it. let me clarify: i LIKE harleys! yes, i know they're not the fastest or the most technologically advanced machine on the market. and you know what? I DONT F'n CARE! the love of harleys is a visceral thing, not a cerebral thing. and if you dont get it, that's ok. ok? i like other bikes too, and if i could afford to buy, house and insure more than a couple bikes at a time, some of them would be imports. i'd like a vintage hurricane. an st1200 with antilock brakes would be awesome. i'd like a new kawi versys or suzi v-strom. a cbr600rr would be nice for being a hooligan in and around town. maybe a turbo hayabuska (probably misspelled that and dont really care) to run flat-out on the salt. but i'd also like a nice restored knucklehead (it's beautiful motor with great gizmo-ness) and an indian or two. and what the heck, gimme a wcc rigid while i'm ordering. but dude, that's just me. if you only like imports, ride imports and leave the rest of us the F alone. same goes for the harley-only guys. just ride what you want and STFU! i know this will fall on mostly deaf ears, but i gotta say it from time to time. it's like adjusting a computer with a hammer: it dont do the computer any good at all, but i feel better for a while. knowhaddimeanvern?

  4. Well; if they do, it will probably still be a V-Twin. Harley discovered a long time ago that evolutionary ( not revolutionary ) change was the secret to their success. Why s***w with a good thing. As long as they can keep selling the product they offer to discerning clientele there is no need for radical change.

  5. Agian?  Did you know a 1936 knucklehead had the same 40 horsepower and the 2007 883, both about the same size?

I would say it's about time for a change if Harley dosn't want to go out of business the minute the baby boomers get too old to ride.

  6. I hope they are going to add some power to their bikes.

  7. They might, but then why bother when you are the biggest seller in the USA>

  8. Jealousy is not an attractive quality Magz.

  9. Yes, they are going to a inline 4 with efi, dohc, 1.2L capacity with reliability, performance, smooth ride and is quite.

Oh, no, wait on, thats every other manufacturer.

  10. Rumors say a new bagger and a new trike.

But I'll believe it when I see it.
