  1. my instructor said if he finds out you were fighting outside for fun or bullying(he has no problem with competition or self defense) then you are out of there on the 1st thing that passed by

i woulnt necessarily hate the ones misusing their training but hate the fact they are doing it. kinda goes back to my religious background hate the sin not the sinner.

its very easy to see that attitude in a student and i think an instructor should be the one to stand up against it. also karma plays a role, the more often they run their mouth the more likely they are to fight and the more needless fights they are in the more likely they'll find someone to humble them.

  2. get you want me to beat you up?  im a mma black belt and can pierce flesh with my fingers so you better watch out. yes its dishonorable.  and i will make myself honorable by defeating you and everyone who ever challenges my authority again.

  3. That's why some clubs kick out students for that. I think it should happen more often.

In juniors, we had a kid who picked fights at his school and was teaching his mates how to fight. He was kicked out straight away. No second chances because these rules are told to every new student when they start out. So it's not like they didn't know.

Only one I think that they should kick out at our club, he has real anger and ego issues. A mid-30 yr old sandan with issues is not good if he's having a bad day and you get a hit in. He will flatten you. I hate fighting him because this is most days.

No idea why he isn't gone yet other then he's a very commited student and teacher.

  4. Bryan there's a big difference between "hate" and being "just" dude.  You're not hating anyone you're just pissed, and rightfully so, at any moron who has "actual training" who would use it to inflict harm on someone who isn't even trying to attack him.  Don't be fooled though man .... I've had kids tell me that they were trained only to stick them in front of a heavy bag and watch them make total a**es of their selves, not having any thing even resembling a "proper stance" let alone the ability to strike the bag properly.  So don't just buy that every person that tells you they're trained is actually trained dude.... there are a  lot of wanna-be's out there who just watch too much T.V. ( UFC c**p ).

I hear my own daughter walk around here with her friends talking smack about how trained she is and she's never even so much as been interested in working with me or my team .... what's that make her? ..... a liar of course. Most teens are especially when they're trying to find their place in life.

Don't let people's mere words get to you man.  If you hear someone talk about all the a**es they've kicked and how cruel they've been to others usually the one telling such stories is tee totally full of sh*t and too scared to fight anyone when it comes right down to it.

  5. yes.

  6. Hating who excactly? I know it's almost a second nature to dislike someone because they do the complete negative of what most people do positive. No matter how many times people to prove something positive, there's always more people proving it negatively. Martial Arts in general were made for combat and for smaller people to defend against bigger people, now a days you see martial arts as sports on tv as 2 people fighting in a cage and when one loses he freaks and gets drunk and ruins it for himself (Rampage). Due to industrial revolution, the martial arts are more watered down and the people of the martial arts tend to be a lot more lazier than 100 years ago. Why train and sweat when you can just watch tv or be on the computer playing games? Why go to some traditional dojo and build yourself up Spiritually, Mentally, and Physically when you can just hold a modern weapon or go to some MMA school to learn to fight fast to impress your homies?

It's all ego and peer pressure. We'll always have people like this in our world and we'll never be able to get rid of it. What we have to do is move on and hope the best for our arts and possibly our future students. I train as much as I can in my art, It's my livelihood, At day I'm in the Gym doing all types of routines, and at night I go to my SIfu's and train, train, have some tea, train some more. I don't really care about what these "Partial Artists" (Only stay for the wrong reasons for a short amount of time) have to offer. I'm happy with what I have and what I'm trying to achieve Spiritually, Mentally, and Physically. And I think you should not worry about these people, ignore them, they'll ignore you. If you react, they will to. If they keep bothering you, shut them up.

  7. there's no black belt in MMA silly

  8. Somebody stole my thunder...

Don't hate the people, detest their actions.

Hate is a thoughtless and blind emotion.

  9. No, the dishonor is projecting your own antiquated belief systems onto others.

Those who fight on the streets are the ones determining what works. I have learned more on the streets than 100 dojos could teach me in 10 lifetimes. We have a right to brag. Also, bragging annoys posers like those who go to dojos or mma gyms. You have no idea how many fights I've gotten that way.
