i dont think hatton is scared of anyone. I think he has the arrogance that is bred from an incredibly impressive record.

However, i think that the Mayweather debacle, where Hatton was completely and utterly outclassed and shown to be nothing more than a pub brawler against the immesurably talented Mayweather, has dented his ego and confidence.

Where once he was unbeatable, now he has been brought back down to earth, and another defeat could shatter him irreperably. He needs, NEEDS, to win his next fight. Comfortably. Until then he has a big question mark over him, and he is undoubtedly nervous.

In terms of Witter, i think Hatton would beat him. He didnt like Mayweather but he stilll fought him, but i think he is wary of fighting anyone at the minute.

Hatton will undoubtedly be much hotter (box office wise) in the future, after he strings together some more victories and buries the Mayweather fight. Then would be the time to go against Witter - it would make more money and Hatton would be better prepared.

No Hatton isnt scared in the slightest. If you are British and you know anything at all boxing then you will know that Witter is chasing a payday and Hatton is completely within his rights to not give him one. Hatton has been a champ for years yet Witter has tried to become famous by turning up at press conferences and calling Ricky out even though he was never a legitimate step up for Ricky who always had bigger things on his mind than fighting someone who has never really fought anyone, Judah is the only half decent name on Witters record and i dont think he won a round in that fight. Harris was done already before being Ko'd by Witter so that isnt even worth mentioning. I think if Witter can win a couple more fights whilst holding the belt then it might be worth Ricky giving him a payday but for me personally i dont see Junior holding the belt for very long at all, maybe even his next fight.

Ricky is scared of Witter and also knows he doesnt need to fight him. Witter does not offer the payday other less skilled fighters can. I think its a very close fight if they fight but it will never happen, and if it does it wont happen until Witter is more popular and ricky has fought everyone else and has no other options. Witters style can give ricky all types of trouble. Theres no way Rickys management will throw him in there with a skilled british fighter with an awkward style.

Everyone says Witter is just after a payday but hes earned his way to the top and now no one will fight him. Ricky got a lot of breaks in boxing. Not to say i dont like him, i respect him a lot. But he beat up an old way out of prime Kostya and Castillo. Ricky didnt beat any top young fighters or anyone who was at the top of their game. He hand picked those opponents very selectively. The top of the jounior welterweight class are all young fighters who could give him problems.

Witter, Torres, Malinaggi, Hopkins, Holt are all guys who i think could possibly beat Ricky. Its been awhile since ive seen ricky with any skilled fighters with a punch and aside from malinaggi these guys can all hit and are all skilled
