Is having 3 cats a lot different from having 2 cats?

Considering getting a 3rd cat

Can you list the pros/ cons of doing this?

Well, I had one of my kitties since I was little ( She's 14 now ) and then when i first moved in with my Fiance we had his cat, which took a long time for my cat to get along with. Now recently after we moved from his parents house, we got a kitten to make up for his cat not having anyone to play with since his brother stood with his sister at his parent's place. Now 2 months after they all get along :o

Depending on the cat it can take some time for them too all adjust, but there really aren't any cons in my book if you really want a 3rd cat. If you get a kitten its easier for them to adjust to the others though, if you bring a older cat in its harder i guess. it really just all depends on the cats lol

when you hear a crash, run into the room and see two cats fleeing? now you will see three fleeing.

If they all get along, it's great. The only difference is more kitty food and litter. If you have enough attention to go around, it's fine. Make sure that they are all neutered/spayed and the results will be better.

its a bit different. its a bit like having 2 cats, but with 1 more.

Con: no real cons to think of at the moment

LOL trust me its great there's really not too much of a difference except you'll have to clean the litterbox out more often
