Is having a beach party in the UK legal?

If the beach is owned by the National trust, or English Heritage, or some body like that, then you would have to get permission, but if it was owned by the local council, then as long as you behaved I dont see why you couldt do it, you need to look at the local laws regarding public gatherings, that will be at the council offices, so ring them up and see what they say, I hope the weather stays nice for you.

    Of course if you were to have it during the day you would stand a better chance of not bieng noticed by the law at all!

  5. Unless there are are any local bylaws forbidding it, it is not illegal.

    As your 18th birthday is important to you, you don't want to take any chances of it being spoiled, so to be absolutely sure, I would check with your local council and take care to plan it carefully.

    You would be wise not to publicise it TOO MUCH for fear of unwanted gatecrashers, you might arouse interest amongst the local constabulary, so please, not wanting to be a party pooper, have some control over alcohol etc.
