  1. its ok

    free fruit

    whoo!

  2. You also have to remember that you need more than one tree to get fruit. Bees and all. Or convince your neighbor to get one too. Sounds like your climate would support most of those fruit trees, but I don't know about the orange tree. Where do you live? What is the climate like?

  3. Wow, I wish I had space for those! I've got a couple strawberry plants, but since they were only planted this year, the harvest isn't going to be anything significant at all.

With citrus, you have to be aware of what climate zone you're in and choose an appropriate variety to withstand the winter, if it's possible at all (Up here in Zone 5, it's nada on the oranges, although there are some strains of lemon that will do alright).

  4. one of my close friends has a peach tree and i go over and pick them when they are ripe.. i freeze them for the off season.. i wish i had a fruit tree.. we recently moved in our first house and we have raspberries which is so cool!   maybe i will plant a fruit tree and have fruit in a few years!   good for you.. wish you were close enough to Illinois i would come pick some!!!!
