Is having a pet monkey with a permit illegal in Pennsylvania?

not to drive to have! grr people are .....silly i guess you can say. its considered an exotic animal and you need permits for them, i'm askin if its legal to have one if it has a permit in pennsylvania

Primate ownership can be regulated on by any level of government. It all depends on the State, county, and city in which you live. Even your home owners association can prohibit them.

-19 States have no requirement regarding private possession of nonhuman primates (i.e. Kansas, Alabama, Arkansas)

-13 states require a permit for possession of nonhuman primates

-10 states ban private possession of nonhuman primates (ie Utah, California, Colorado)

-5 states have partial bans (they ban certain species, and no requirements for others)

-2 states have partial bans, and require permit for others (they ban certain species, and require permits for others) (Florida, Texas)

-2 state requires being bonded for private possession of nonhuman primates

monkey are my favorite animal......my dads friend had 1 and it had to be put down for atacking the elderly.........pet monkeys are no longer legal pets in my town....

A monkey cannot get a permit to drive in Pennsylvania. I'm not sure about New Jersey though. I live here, and I've seen drivers with small heads.
