  1. If you don't tell them they will not find out until your first attack, most likely at boot camp during hard exercise.  At that point the whole thing will come apart on you and your fraud will be discovered.  You'll be processed out with an entry level separation, a fraudulent enlistment 3 letter code and an RE-4 reenlistment code.

  2. You cannot join with asthma.

  3. Asthma past the age of 13 is an automatic, permanent disqualifier with no waivers for all branches of the armed services.

  4. First off, it's not bad then don't worry about it. But if at any moment it gets bad, say during boot camp, you will be discharged and filed with fraudulent enlistment which is a bite in the ****. And the only way MEPS will know is if YOU tell them. Unless of course your rating requires security clearance and if someone who's investigating asks someone who knows you and they say you have/had asthma and you didn't disclose it then you will be discharged as well.

It depends, my recruiter had knee surgery before joining and he didn't say anything about it, he's First Class Petty Officer today, done 13 yrs and he's in a top secret rating so...it all depends. Go with what you feel.

If you won't have an attack then it's fine, but if for some reason you do then you will be discharged. So it's if YOU tell them, no way they will dig into your medical records at MEPS.

  5. a similar scenario happened with my cousin. like you he didn't report it, ended up having an asthma attack... his medical records were pulled showing a previous asthma record and he was kicked out (Army)

  6. some advice go into sub warfare you get payed an xtra 100 bucks and the subs are shortest ship in navey

  7. Yes, if you have it they will not let you join.  If you truly do not have it anymore then it will not be an issue.  Even if it is not bad, that will still be a problem.  You can not be dependent on medication, including an inhaler, during deployments.

  8. ya I'm pretty sure you're disqualified....sorry
