Is having good looks can be a means to penetrate the media industry?

i just want to hear other people's opinions about having good looks as a means to penetrate the media industry... well, i know it's obvious that being a good-looking person is needed before entering media industry. i just want to know more from other people.

It helps but it's not the only thing. If you're talking about serious journalism you have to be able to write and speak and be natural in front of the camera. Believe me, it's a lot harder than in looks.

Of course, if you mean just in media in general then yes, if you are attractive you'll be able to find some type of host position, but there are a lot of good looking people seeking such jobs. So it's not easy to break into the media business.

You haven't been very specific. There are thousands of jobs in the media that are behind the scenes where looks don't mean anything. It's how well you can do your job whether a technician, sound person, camera operator etc.
