Is having one kidney something to be concerned about in paintball?

I have one kidney, if I got shot in that area with a paintball, would it be serious or just no effect at all?

Is there anything I can wear to protect my kidney?

I just got hit in the kidney area with a paint ball from 30 feet last week.  I've been peeing blood.  I need to go to a specialist now because I did do some damage.  Of course you shouldn't play paintball.  I was on the ground writhing in pain after the shot.

Paint balls can't do anything with your kidney, It might leave a bruise, but your kidney isn't going to fall off. If you want wear some extra padding on your lower back. You should be fine.
