Is having s*x bad?

My friend Taylor (people this is about my friend not me) she is old and hasn't had her period yet. Is her having s*x before she has her period bad for her. Shes 16. (all of her girl family members had their periods late)

She should be using protection even if she hasn't had a period. There will come the day that she releases that egg and she thinks she is safe. We can't forget about diseases either.

s*x is good, but you should wait until you are properly educated on the mental and pysical ramifications of s*x. Keep safe, use condoms.

I think 16 is a little young to be having s*x, but it's not technically bad for her from a biological standpoint. However, she should be aware that it is possible to get pregnant before she has her first period if the first egg her body releases (which would otherwise be expelled in her first period) gets fertilized. There's no way to know when your body ovulates for the first time, so she always needs to use protection, even if she isn't having periods yet.

Its different for different girls. s*x has nothing to do with it. Although she may want to sop having s*x, when her period comes then the chances of her becoming pregnant turn into reality.

In all honesty, if your friend is sexually active she should be consulting a doctor about birth control and asking her doctor about it.  At 16 girls are usually having periods but not always, and genetics can have something to do with. A doctor can give her an accurate and honest answer.

It can be bad in certain circumstances. If you're in a healthy, committed (preferably marriage) relationship, then no, it's not bad. If you're a teenager who is sexually active, then yes, most likely it's not good news.
