  1. yes America, Love it or Leave it

  2. So much for loyalty to ones country!  I REALLY thought I'd see people standing up and saying, "YES!" to this question and what do I find?  Next time, ask the question BUT have them put their party affiliation in their answer.

For some reason, you'll get Lib/Dems saying, "No!" and Conservative/Republicans saying "YES!".

Oh, Conservative/Republican - "YES!"  I am PROUD of my country and to stand up pledge allegiance to her!

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

  3. yes

  4. no

  5. No, It makes  his allegiance concrete and set in stone and he may grow up to believe that exercising any thought that is seen to be 'non Amrican' as wrong.

  6. Not particularly.  I don't think blank faced reciting of the pledge builds patriotism or loyalty to the country.  Instead lets do more to teach students the history of this country!  There's plenty to be proud of...

  7. Unfortunately, having students recite anything has little effect.  Don't believe me, try testing a random group of 8th graders.  After 9 years of the pledge you would think they would know what it means.  You will be shocked.

To Malik Zulu Shabazz: lame try "brother."  Let me guess, 15 year old white Repub?
