well, i want a rabbit, but I'm afraid that when i'm at school, it'll get bored. They would share a hutch. But would they be okay? I would most likely have spayed and neutured girl and boy rabbits or two females with one of them spayed. Also, even if I only get one, [or two] what are the basics for having rabbits, like what will i need? best answer 10 points!!!!

  1. Yes, as long as they are both neutered and have plenty of space

  2. A male and female pair are best, spayed and neutered.  If you get two females, you do need to spay both.  First because they are actually more territorial and hormonal than males and second because on average, a spayed female lives twice as long as an unspayed female due to a very high rate of reproductive cancer.

Rabbits do very much enjoy having a compatible companion to live with.  I would recommend adopting from a rescue group, often they have pre-bonded altered pairs, so you will already know that they are compatible and it will work out.

I recommend this website for lots of care information: http://www.rabbit.org/  Check out the "House Rabbits 101" page and the FAQs- the links are at the top of the home page.  The links down the sides will give you more detailed information about different subjects that interest you.

  3. First get the hutch, the water bottle, they might like to hide under a plastic igloo, the food, sweet grass, and lastly get the bunnies. Make sure they are not both boys they might fight if so. Plus if you keep them out side they might have a heat stroke. So you might have to keep them inside in air conditioning.

  4. yes , it is better to ge 2 , i have done tons of research on them . They wont get bbored. It is better to get 1 girl and 1 boy but get them fixed . You have to clean out there cage once a week , and give them new water every day ! they need to be in shade . Can have a heat stroke in 85 degree weather . you will need a cage or hutch , food , hay to lay on , water despencer , and proubly a few more things . If you need more help E-mail me . I have a big book about them that has all the answers you could think of .

    i really hope i helped . fell free to E-mail me :)

  5. It is a rabbit; it does not get "bored."
