  1. Yes most definitely, I don't see what the problem is. It is your home and your get together. They shouldn't mind or perhaps one of them could offer to use their place.

  2. If it is extremely hot where you are....of course it is!!  When you have a lot of preparation to do for a big event, if you're anything like me, you're already stressed with getting things done. Then to make matters worse, if you can't be comfortable, then your mood goes down, and it is pretty much impossible to do what you need to do.   Now, if you can move your gathering somewhere else without a lot of hassle , or if the temp isn't too bad, then I would go ahead and try to make it happen.  It really depends too on how important the event is to you and your family.  Just my humble opinion....

  3. Yes, unless you have somewhere to move it to.

  4. Depends on how hot it is, the weather outside and so on. You can't have an event with people inside and no ac everyone will burn up.

  5. Well, depending on the weather outside...and it still being August...possibly September by the time of the party...I would say yes. The more people that enter a room the more that air conditioner will become a necessity. There is nothing worse than being in a house, with tons of people, and be burning up. Then everyone wont be comfortable and the party wont be all that great. How long till you have the units fixed? It might be worth it to hold off on the party till its fixed.

    But that's just me.....

    :-)
