If there is Rumor about you and you did not know. One-day your friend called you and give more details about the rumor, and refused to give you their names.

Later on you found out that this friend also involved in your ex-relationship, I mean he knew that your ex planned to break up with you and instead of warning you, he kept silent.

Sounds to me like your friend is more loyal to other people, like your ex, then to yourself. Hm...Still...he did tell you about the rumor, so he is still a friend...but not one that you can trust 100%....

well your friend may have wanted to not get involved in fear of hurting you or losing you as a friend but you wont know why unless you ask your friend

You know, sometimes when people are crazy in love (well they think they are but it doesn't last) they don't listen to their friends because they want to believe that the person they have become kinda emotionally attached to is the only one whose right. Most of us have been there at some point, me included. Maybe your friend didn't want to tell you because he thought you wouldn't believe him and didn't want to risk your friendship? You will know if he's a good friend before we do as you have spent time with him and know his personality and what he's like.
