Is he a true friend?

So I kind of knew this guy from my old school by sight. Now that I've gone to highschool, he's one year ahead of me. He's been very nice and has been introducing me to his friends, allowing me to hang out with them. However, he's been telling me about this "church youth group" and wants me to come with him to check it out. (He's leader of it). I can't go because I'll miss the bus and won't find a way to get home. My parents can't come pick me up. Is he just being nice so that I can join this group? If I tell him I can't make it will he start ignoring me?

  1. Do you want to go to this meeting? if you do tell him about your transportation problem and also let your parents know. Maybe you guys can work out a way for you to get there and back. Also it's probably the only way you will truly find out if hes just recruiting members or if he wants to spend some time with you.

  2. well, you are asking "is he a TRUE FRIEND", correct?

if he stops talking to you just because you couldnt make it, he is obviously not a "TRUE FRIEND".

  3. That's simple, just tell him you can't make it and wait for his reaction, if he is a good friend then he wont ignore you.
