Is he autistic or not?i'm not sure.

i went into the student lounge at my school.i ploped down somewhere where no one was sitting to study.this dude plops his laptop down at the same table and starts talking to me.and he goes on and i smile and be polite.he introduces himself and shakes my hand.when he leaves he's like maybe we can get something to eat sometime.he says it twice.i dunno something just seemed alittle off mentally with him.maybe ie was nervous.maybe hes just really friendly and outgoing.im not a beautiful thing to look at so now im alittle concerned.is he autistic?

It sounds like he was nervous and was trying to get you to go out with him.  From the description of your encounter, I really can't say anything is wrong with him.  If you don't want to talk to him, you don't have to.

It's possible he has asperger's which is a mild form of autism which would account for him being awkward in a social environment - not quite understanding social boundries or when you are making someone uncomfortable by being over friendly. But he doesn't sound really autistic or to have serious mental health problems, I'd say the chances are he just liked you and was a friendly guy. Just be honest with him if your not interested because if he does have a form of autism he won't be great at picking up social cues and won't know when you don't want to get involved.

im pretty sure autistic people have trouble communicating, so i doubt hes autistic
